AUS will join us and share information on the importance of ensuring staff feel informed in their roles.

For more than 35 years, Paul has managed large complex security organizations requiring a sophisticated understanding of service delivery solutions. He has held professional positions in business unit management, human resources and training, and has been a subject matter resource for client institutions from a variety of verticals including higher education, financial services, pharma and technology. As an Allied Universal Director of Higher Education, Paul is an internal consultant serving line operations management, business development and clients. He is a member of the ASIS International Council on School Safety & Security.
Prior to taking on his current position, Paul was the business unit manager serving Allied Universal’s clients in Boston & Providence. In that position he was responsible for 1,200 employees and $36m in security services. Since arriving at Allied Universal in 2001, Paul had a series of positions of increasing responsibility including district management and national accounts positions. Before coming to Allied Universal, he held positions in human resources management, retail loss prevention including time as the New York regional security director, and account level management. He has Bachelor of Science, Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degrees, and serves as coach of the Suffolk University Law School’s National Trial Team.

For nearly a decade, Jonathan led national initiatives to increase openness and accountability for campus crime, combined with the identification of innovative practices to address contemporary issues facing campus security professionals. His goal with Allied Universal is to facilitate a better
understanding of the nexus between higher education leadership, campus culture and standards for campus safety in order to develop and support a more comprehensive campus safety program. Allied Universal is the largest security services provider in the nation, the only firm with a
dedicated national support team for higher education, with more than 5,000 security professionals serving over 160 institutions.
Jonathan served as Senior Director of Business Development & Grant Management at Margolis Healy, a leading consulting firm on managing college security programs and operators of the federally funded National Center for Campus Public Safety. His tenure included direction of multiple Bureau of Justice Assistance grants identifying evidence based campus crime prevention programs and travel abroad safety. Prior to that, he was the Executive Director of the Clery Center for Security on Campus, a prominent national nonprofit organization dedicated to working with college and university stakeholders to create safer campuses for students, where he guided policy and legislation as well as multiple grants for USDOJ and development of Clery Act Training Seminars. Jonathan is a board member for the Network of Victim Assistance Bucks County, he is also an adjunct instructor and MPA Department Advisory Board member at Villanova University.
Senior Director of Training & Technical Assistance
Laura Egan oversees the development and execution of training and technical assistance projects, programs, and resources at Clery Center, including Clery Act Training Seminars, webinars, and National Campus Safety Awareness Month. She presents nationally and provides individualized support on compliance with and implementation of Clery Act requirements, campus safety, compliance, and gender based violence and discrimination. Prior to joining the Clery Center, Laura worked at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA for five years serving in both residence life and student conduct roles.
Laura earned a B.A. in Psychology from Villanova University and a M.A. in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University.
Associate Executive Director of Programs
Abigail Boyer manages a comprehensive array of services and programs for Clery Center, including Jeanne Clery Act Training, online curriculum development, and National Campus Safety Awareness Month. She also presents nationally on topics related to campus safety, the Clery Act, dynamics of sexual and domestic violence, and victims’ services.
Prior to joining the Clery Center, Abigail served as the Community Outreach Coordinator for The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, where she was instrumental in the development and implementation of prevention education programs targeted towards students, parents, and other community members.
Abigail earned a B.A. in Political Science at West Chester University and an M.S. in Organization Development and Leadership with a concentration in Adult Learning and Training at Saint Joseph’s University. She has been a contributor to Campus Safety Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, LA Times, and Huffington Post.
